The XC228x variants are high-performance single-chip CMOS microcontrollers from the Infineon XC2000 Family. The C166 Family's capabilities in terms of instructions (MAC unit), peripherals, and speed are increased by these devices. They combine a powerful CPU with increased peripheral functionality and improved IO capabilities to achieve high CPU performance (up to 80 million instructions per second).
