MSP430F436IPZR Description
There are multiple devices in the Texas Instruments MSP430 family of ultralow power microcontrollers, each of which has a unique set of peripherals designed for a particular application. In portable measurement applications, the architecture is tailored to achieve longer battery life through the use of five low-power modes. The hardware includes a potent 16-bit RISC CPU, 16-bit registers, and constant generators that help the code run as efficiently as possible. In less than 6 s, the digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) enables wake-up from low-power modes to active mode. One or two universal serial synchronous/asynchronous communication interfaces (USART), 48 I/O pins, a liquid crystal driver (LCD) with up to 160 segments, two built-in 16-bit timers, a fast 12-bit A/D converter (not present on the MSP430F43x1 and MSP430F44x1 devices), and a microcontroller are all included in the MSP430x43x(1) and MSP430x44x(1) series.
