For protection, PTC thermistors are packaged in 1206 (3216 Metric) packages. Packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR), these PTC thermistors are safe to handle. Using PTC thermistors at -55°C temperature should be their minimum operating temperature. There must not be an increase in temperature above 150°C for this thermistor to work. If the thermistor can't transfer and conduct this power loss without overheating, it'll overheat.
