Description
SSM2220S Description
Designed specifically for use in audio applications, the SSM2220S is a twin, low-noise, matched PNP transistor. The SSM2220S's ultralow input voltage noise, which spans the entire audio spectrum of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, is typically only 0.7 nV/Hz. The SSM2220S is a great option for high-bandwidth, low-noise preamplifier applications because of its low noise, high bandwidth (190 MHz), and maximum 200 μV offset voltage. Moreover, the SSM2220S has a good current gain matching (ΔhFE) to 0.5%, which aids in lowering high order amplifier harmonic distortion. Moreover, internal protection diodes across the base-to-emitter junction were utilized to clamp any reverse base-to-emitter junction potential in order to guarantee the long-term stability of the matching parameters. By doing this, a base-to-emitter breakdown condition is avoided, which can lead to an increase in breakdown current and a deterioration in gain and matching performance. The SSM2220S also has a very low bulk resistance, typically 0.3Ω, which guarantees precise logarithmic compliance. The 8-lead plastic dual inline (PDIP) and 8-lead standard small outline (SOIC) versions of the SSM2220S are available, and the device's performance and other features are warranted across the wider industrial temperature range of  -40°C to 85°C.
