Description
The AFE032 is an integrated analog front-end (AFE) for power-line communications (PLC). It supports CENELEC Bands A, B, C, D, ARIB STD-T84, FCC, FSK, SFSK, and NB-OFDM standards. The device conforms to EN50065-1, -2, -3, -7, FCC Part 15, and ARIB STD-T84. It meets G3, PRIME, P1901.2, and ITU-G.hnem standards.
The AFE032 features programmable transmit low-pass filters and receive band-pass filters. It has an integrated power-line driver with thermal and overcurrent protection. The device consumes low power (50 mW in receiver mode) and has a receive sensitivity of 10 μVMs (typical). It has a four-wire SPI interface and three integrated zero-crossing detectors. The AFE032 is packaged in a QFN-48 PowerPAD™ and operates over an extended temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
