Description
The X1227 is a Real Time Clock (RTC) with clock/calendar, two polled alarms, integrated 512x8 EEPROM, oscillator compensation, CPU Supervisor (POR/LVS and WDT), and battery backup switch. It uses an external 32.768kHz crystal with integrated compensation and trim components, eliminating the need for external components and saving space and cost.

Real Time Clock/Calendar: Tracks time in hours, minutes, seconds, day of the week, day, month, and year
2 Polled Alarms: Settable on the second, minute, hour, day of the week, day, or month, with repeat mode for periodic interrupts
Oscillator Compensation: Integrated feedback resistor, compensation capacitors, digitally controlled trim capacitor, and frequency adjustment settings for ±30ppm accuracy
CPU Supervisor Functions: Power-On Reset (POR), Low Voltage Sense (LVS), and Watchdog Timer (WDT)
Battery Switch or Super Cap Input
512x8 Bits of EEPROM: 64-byte page write mode, 8 modes of Block Lock™ protection, single byte write capability
High Reliability: Data retention of 100 years, endurance of 100,000 cycles per byte
2-Wire™ Interface: Interoperable with I²C, 400kHz data transfer rate
Low Power CMOS: 1.25μA operating current (typical)
