Description
The TLV1508 and TLV1504 are high-performance, 10-bit, low-power, 3.86 μs CMOS analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) that operate from a single 2.7-V to 5.5-V power supply. They feature a 4-wire SPI interface and a frame sync (FS) signal for interfacing with TMS320 DSPs. The devices have an on-chip analog multiplexer that can select any analog input or one of three internal self-test voltages. The sample-and-hold function can be automatically started or controlled by a CSTART pin for extended sampling. The normal sampling period can be programmed as short (12 SCLKS) or long (24 SCLKS) to accommodate faster SCLK operation. The TLV1508 and TLV1504 are designed for low power consumption with software/hardware/auto power-down modes and programmable conversion speeds. They have a built-in conversion clock (OSC) and reference, but can also use an external SCLK as the conversion clock source for higher conversion speeds (up to 2.8 μs with a 20 MHz SCLK). Two internal reference voltages are available, and an optional external reference can be used for maximum flexibility.
