Description
The MIC2601/2 is a 1.2MHz/2MHz, PWM DC/DC boost switching regulator available in a 2mm x 2mm MLF package. It features a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 20V and an adjustable output voltage up to 40V. The internal 40V/1.2A switch allows for high power density and the ability to power large loads in a small footprint.
The MIC2601/2 utilizes constant frequency 1.2MHz/2MHz PWM current mode control with internal compensation for excellent transient response and output regulation. The high frequency operation enables the use of small, low-profile external components, saving board space. The fixed frequency PWM scheme also reduces spurious switching noise and ripple to the input power source.
Additional features include programmable soft start to reduce inrush current, shutdown current below 10µA, UVLO, output over-voltage protection, and over temperature shutdown.
