Description
The MAX78615 PPM is an isolated energy measurement processor (EMP) chipset for polyphase power monitoring systems. It provides flexible sensor configuration for up to three MAX78700s or MAX71071s, offering up to six isolated analog inputs for voltage and current sensors. Scaled sensor voltages are processed by a high-resolution delta-sigma converter. Supported current sensors include resistive shunts and current transformers (CTs).
An embedded 24-bit measurement processor and firmware perform computations and data formatting for accurate reporting to the host. Nonvolatile flash memory stores calibration coefficients and device configuration settings, enabling autonomous operation. The MAX78615 PPM interfaces with host processors via UART, SPI, or I²C and is available in a 24-pin TQFN package.
