Description
The M41T11ST is a serial real-time clock (RTC) with 56 bytes of NVRAM. It features counters for seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, years, and century. The 32 KHz crystal oscillator integrates load capacitance (12.5 pF), providing exceptional oscillator stability and high crystal series resistance operation. The serial interface supports the I²C bus (100 kHz protocol). The RTC has an ultra-low battery supply current of 0.8 μA (typ. at 3 V) and a clock operating voltage of 2.0 to 5.5 V. It includes automatic switchover and deselect circuitry. The 56 bytes of general-purpose RAM can be used for storing data. The RTC has software clock calibration to compensate for crystal deviation due to temperature and automatic leap year compensation. It operates at a temperature range of -40 to 85°C. The packaging includes a 28-lead SOIC and SNAPHAT top (to be ordered separately; 3.3 V to 5.0 V supply voltage only). The RTC is RoHS compliant and has lead-free second-level interconnect.
