Description
CAPZero is an automatic X capacitor discharge IC that blocks current through X capacitor discharge resistors when AC voltage is connected. When AC voltage is disconnected, it automatically discharges X capacitors through discharge resistors. This simplifies EMI filter design, allowing for larger X capacitors and smaller inductive components without changing consumption. CAPZero has only two terminals, meeting safety standards for use before or after the system input fuse. It has high creepage on the package and PCB, is self-supplied with no external bias required, and has high common mode surge immunity and high differential surge withstand.
