Description
CAPZero is an automatic X capacitor discharge IC that blocks current through X capacitor discharge resistors when AC voltage is connected. It automatically discharges X capacitors through discharge resistors when AC is disconnected. This simplifies EMI filter design, allowing for larger X capacitors and smaller inductive components without changing consumption. CAPZero has only two terminals, meeting safety standards for use before or after the system input fuse. It has high common mode surge immunity, no external ground connection, and high differential surge withstand with 1000 V internal MOSFETs. CAPZero is self-supplied, requiring no external bias.
