Description
The ADS8505 is a 16-bit sampling analog-to-digital converter (ADC) utilizing CMOS structures. It comprises a 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADC with sample-and-hold (S/H), reference, clock, microprocessor interface, and 3-state output drivers.

±1 LSB maximum differential nonlinearity (DNL) with no missing codes
±2 mV maximum bipolar zero error with ±0.4 ppm/°C drift
±0.1% full-scale range (FSR) maximum full-scale error with 2 ppm/°C drift
Single 5 V supply operation
Pin-compatible with ADS7805 (low speed) and 12-bit ADS8504/7804
