Description
The IDT5V19EE604 is a programmable clock generator designed for high-performance data communications, telecommunications, consumer, and networking applications. It features four internal PLLs, each individually programmable, allowing for four unique non-integer-related frequencies generated from a single reference clock. The reference clock can be sourced from one of two redundant clock inputs, with automatic or manual switchover options.
The IDT5V19EE604 is in-system programmable via an I²C interface. An internal EEPROM allows users to save and restore device configurations without reprogramming on power-up. Each PLL has a 7-bit reference divider and a 12-bit feedback divider, enabling the generation of unique frequencies. The PLL loop bandwidth is programmable, allowing users to tailor the PLL response to specific applications. Spread spectrum generation and/or fractional divides are supported on two of the PLLs.
The device includes five 8-bit output dividers connected to the PLLs via a switch matrix. This allows users to route PLL outputs to any output bank, simplifying board layout. Each output's slew rate and enable/disable function are also programmable.
