Overview
Description
The XRT91L34 is a quadchannel multirate Clock and Data Recovery (CDR) device for SONET/SDH applications. It provides CDR function by synchronizing its onchip Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) to the incoming serial data stream. The device monitors Loss of Lock (LOL) conditions and automatically mutes recovered data upon Loss of Signal (LOS) conditions.

Features
Quadchannel multirate CDR for SONET/SDH applications
Supports STS12/STM4, STS3/STM1, and STS1/STM0 data rates
Clock and data recovery function
Loss of Lock (LOL) monitoring
Automatic data mute upon Loss of Signal (LOS)
Single 77.76MHz or 19.44MHz reference clock for all channels
LVDS and Differential LVPECL input and output interfaces

Applications
SONET/SDH optical transceivers
Framer/mapper devices
Clock recovery and data synchronization in highspeed data communication systems
