The UC3838 and UC3838A magnetic amplifier controllers feature:
Independent 1% reference
Two uncommitted, identical operational amplifiers
100-mA reset current source with -120-V capability
5-V to 40-V analog operation
5-W DIP package

Features
Generates and amplifies low-level analog error signals
Provides high voltage-compliant reset current
Enables magnetic amplifiers to regulate and control power supply outputs from 2 A to 20 A
Ideal for post-regulators in multiple-output power supplies
Allows independent control of each output with efficiencies up to 99%
