Overview
Description
The voiceband audio processor (VBAP) is designed for analog/digital (A/D) conversion, digital/analog (D/A) conversion, and filtering for voiceband communications systems.
Operates in either 15bit linear or 8bit companded (ulaw or ALaw) mode.
Generates its own internal clocks from a 2.048MHz master clock input.

Earphone mute and microphone mute
Onchip 12C bus provides a simple, standard, twowire serial interface with digital ICs

Dualtone multifrequency (DTMF) and single tone generator
