TL-5920/S Description
Depending on the thermal resistance of the constructed resistor and the printed circuit board, a temperature rise over the ambient temperature occurs when the resistor dissipates power. Only if the allowable film temperature is not exceeded does the rated dissipation apply. When used within the permitted parameters, these resistors do not have a limited lifetime. Yet, resistance value drift that increases over the course of operation may surpass a limit that is appropriate for the particular application, defining a functional lifetime.
