TFPT0805L8200FV Overview
In order to protect the PTC thermistors from damage, they are packaged in 0805 (2012 Metric) packages. The PTC thermistors are packaged in the Tape & Reel (TR) for safety reasons. There are 2 terminations on the PTC thermistor. In this thermistor, there are 2 pins. Ideally, this power loss can be transferred and conducted by the thermistor without it overheating. During normal operation, this thermistor supplies 40V voltage. It is expected that PTC thermistors produce 100mW heat. It is recommended that the thermistor supply voltage be kept at 40V for reliable performance.
