Description
The ON Semiconductor ONPCS3P2042BLCD is a spread spectrum frequency modulator designed for digital flat panel applications. It reduces electromagnetic interference (EMI) at the clock source, allowing for system-wide EMI reduction of downstream clock and data-dependent signals. The PCS3P2042B uses an FCC-approved modulation profile and an all-digital method to modulate the output of a single PLL, spreading the bandwidth of the synthesized clock and decreasing the peak amplitudes of its harmonics. This results in significantly lower system EMI compared to typical narrowband signals.
