Description
The NS145035JZ and NSV45035JZ are adjustable constant current regulators (CCRs) designed for regulating current in LEDs. They are based on Self-Biased Transistor (SBT) technology and regulate current over a wide voltage range. The CCRs have a negative temperature coefficient to protect LEDs from thermal runaway at extreme voltages and currents. They turn on immediately and are at 20% of regulation with only 0.5 V Vak. The Radj pin allows reg(ss) to be adjusted to higher currents by attaching a resistor between Radj (Pin 3) and the Cathode (Pin 4). The Radj pin can also be left open (No Connect) if no adjustment is required. The CCRs require no external components and can be designed as high or low-side regulators. They have a high anode-cathode voltage rating that withstands surges common in Automotive, Industrial, and Commercial Signage applications. The devices are available in a thermally robust package and are qualified to stringent AEC-Q101 standard, which is lead-free RoHS compliant and uses halogen-free molding compound, and UL94-V0 certified.
