Description
The LX1800 bridges the analog and digital world. The analog interface contains an eight-bit ADC and eight-bit DAC, while the digital interface is a serial data SMBus interface. The LX1800 works well in a feedback control system such as an LCD backlight system where the analog output of an ambient light sensor such as the LX1972 can be digitized, allowing the microcontroller to adjust the analog dimming signal accordingly.
