Description
The LM340/LM78XX series of 3-terminal positive voltage regulators are designed for use in a wide range of applications. They feature internal current-limiting, thermal shutdown, and safe-area compensation, making them essentially indestructible. With adequate heatsinking, they can deliver over 1.0A output current.
