Description
The LD3985 is a low-dropout, low-noise voltage regulator that provides up to 150 mA of current from an input voltage range of 2.5 V to 6 V. It is designed to work with low ESR ceramic capacitors and is suitable for low power applications and battery-powered systems. The LD3985 has an ultra-low dropout voltage (60 mV typ. at 150 mA load, 0.4 mV typ. at 1 mA load), a very low quiescent current (85 μA typ. at no load, 170 μA typ. at 150 mA load), and a guaranteed output current of up to 150 mA. It also has a wide range of output voltage options (1.22 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 2.6 V, 2.7 V, 2.8 V, 2.9 V, 3 V, 3.3 V, and 4.7 V), a fast turn-on time (typ. 200 μs [Co 1 μF, CBYP 10 nF and lo 1 mA]), and logic-controlled electronic shutdown. The LD3985 has an internal current and thermal limit, and its output noise voltage is 30 μVRMS over 10 Hz to 100 kHz. It has a PSRR of 60 dB at 1 kHz and 50 dB at 10 kHz, and its temperature range is -40 °C to 125 °C.
