Description
The ICS1523 is a low-cost, high-performance frequency generator designed for general-purpose phase-controlled clock synthesis and high-resolution video applications. It supports clock outputs in both differential (up to 250 MHz) and single-ended (up to 150 MHz) formats. The Dynamic Phase Adjust (DPA) feature allows precise control of the output clock's phase relative to the input sync signal. The device also provides a second, half-speed set of outputs for applications such as clocking analog-to-digital converters.
The ICS1523 utilizes an advanced PLL with either an internal programmable feedback divider or an external divider. It offers software-selectable internal or external loop filters. The COAST input pin can disable the PLL's charge pump, allowing the device to idle at the current speed during short periods, such as vertical blanking intervals.
