DS2505 Description
A 1-Wire EEPROM chip called the Maxim Integrated DS2505 enables communication over a single data line with little in the way of additional hardware. It offers 256 bits of EEPROM memory for data storage together with a special 64-bit ROM code that can be used for device identification and authentication. The DS2505 is meant to be utilized in a number of applications, such as product identification, asset tracking, and security systems. It is compatible with a wide range of microcontrollers. The chip can be driven via the 1-Wire bus or an external power source, and it functions across a wide temperature range. It is suitable for tiny form factor designs because it is offered in a small 6-pin TSOC package.
