Description
The DS1685/DS1687 are real-time clocks (RTCs) that incorporate the industry-standard DS1287 PC clock with enhanced features. They operate on either 3V or 5V and include a 64-bit silicon serial number, power-control circuitry, a 32kHz output for power management, and a crystal-select bit that allows the RTC to operate with either a 6pF or 12.5pF crystal. The DS1685 is available as a chip, while the DS1687 is available as a stand-alone encapsulated DIP (EDIP) with an embedded battery and crystal.
