Description
The MAXIMDS1248/DS1248P1024K is a 128K x 8 NV SRAM with a Phantom Clock. It directly replaces volatile static RAM or EEPROM and features an embedded lithium energy cell that maintains calendar operation and retains RAM data. The watch function is transparent to RAM operation, and automatic leap year compensation is valid up to 2100. The device has a full 10% operating range and over 10 years of data retention in the absence of power. The lithium energy source is electrically disconnected to retain freshness until power is applied for the first time.
