Description
The DS1239 MicroManager chip provides comprehensive control and monitoring functions for power supply management, reset control, and memory backup in microprocessor-based systems. It eliminates the need for an AC power switch and offers a keyboard-based control system for power supply startup and shutdown.
Features
Power supply control and monitoring:
Accurate 10% power supply monitoring (5% optional)
Power fail (active high and low) detection
Wake-up control for sleep mode
External power switch control for high-current applications
Reset control:
Pushbutton reset input
Reset output (active low)
Memory backup:
Converts CMOS SRAM into nonvolatile memory
Unconditionally write-protects memory during power outages
Other features:
Non-maskable interrupt (NMI)
Early warning input
Low battery current consumption (less than 100 nA)
Standard 16-pin DIP or space-saving 16-pin SOIC package
Optional industrial temperature range (-40°C to 85°C)
