Description
The AD7845 is a 12-bit CMOS multiplying DAC with an integrated output amplifier. It is fabricated using the LC²MOS process, which combines precision linear components and digital circuitry on a single chip. The DAC features 12 data inputs that drive latches controlled by CS and WR signals, simplifying microprocessor interfacing. For standalone operation, the CS and WR inputs can be grounded to make all latches transparent. All digital inputs are TTL and 5 V CMOS compatible.
The output amplifier can deliver ±10 V into a 2 kΩ load. It is internally compensated and has a low input offset voltage due to laser trimming at the wafer level. Typically, Reg is connected to VOUT, but users can alternatively choose R, Rg, or Rc to scale the output voltage range.
