Description
The AD5560 is a programmable device power supply (DPS) with integrated 16-bit level setting DACs. It offers programmable force voltages and measure ranges, including FV, MI, MV, and FNMV functions. The device features five internal current ranges (on-chip RENSE) and two external high current ranges (EXTFORCE1 and EXTFORCE2) that can supply currents up to ±1.2 A and ±500 mA, respectively.
The AD5560 includes programmable levels for all 16-bit DACs, including the force DAC, comparator DACs, clamp DACs, offset DAC, OSD DAC, and DGS DAC. It also has a programmable Kelvin clamp and alarm, as well as offset and gain correction registers on-chip. The device supports ramp mode on the force DAC for power supply slewing and a programmable slew rate feature ranging from 1 V/us to 0.3 V/us.
The AD5560 provides DUTGND Kelvin sense and alarm, a 25 V Fv span with asymmetrical operation within -22 V/ 25 V, and on-chip comparators that can be ganged for higher current. It also includes a guard amplifier, system PMU connections, current clamps, a die temperature sensor and shutdown feature, and an on-chip diode thermal array. A diagnostic register allows access to internal nodes, and open-drain alarm flags indicate temperature, current clamp, and Kelvin alarm conditions.
