Description
The UC1854 is an active power factor correction (PFC) controller that provides high power factor (up to 0.99) and low line current distortion (less than 5%). It uses average current-mode control to achieve fixed-frequency current control with stability and low distortion. The UC1854 also features a high reference voltage and high oscillator amplitude to minimize noise sensitivity, and fast PWM elements to permit chopping frequencies above 200kHz. It can be used in single and three-phase systems with line voltages ranging from 75 to 275 volts and line frequencies from 50Hz to 400Hz.
