Description
TPS40055PWPR Description
A family of high-voltage, wide-input (8 V to 40 V), synchronous step-down controllers is known as the TPS4005x. With a range of user-programmable features, including as soft start, UVLO, operating frequency, voltage feedforward, high-side current limit, and loop compensation, the TPS4005x series offers design freedom. The TPS4005x makes use of voltage feed forward control techniques to deliver quick reaction to input line transients and good line regulation across a large (4:1) input voltage range. Loop compensation is made easier by nearly constant modulator gain with input fluctuation. The externally programmable current limit offers a pulse-by-pulse current restriction in addition to hiccup mode operating for longer-lasting overloads that uses an internal fault counter.
