Description
The TPS2378 is an 8-pin integrated circuit that provides all the necessary features to implement an IEEE 802.3at type-2 powered device (PD). It features a low 0.5 Ω internal switch resistance and enhanced thermal dissipation, enabling it to handle up to 0.85 A continuously. The TPS2378 includes an auxiliary power detect (APD) input for priority to an external power adapter, a 100 V pass transistor, 140 mA inrush current limiting, type-2 indication, auto-retry fault protection, and an open-drain power-good output.
