Description
The TEF6890H is a BiMOS integrated circuit that combines:
Stereo decoder function
Weak signal processing
Ignition noise blanking for AM and FM
Input selector for four inputs
Tone/volume control for AM and FM car radio applications
RDS/RBDS demodulator function
Features
Input selector for four inputs:
Two external stereo inputs (CD and TAPE)
One mono input (PHONE)
One internal stereo input (AM or FM)
Integrated tone control and audio filters
Volume control from 20 to 79 dB in 1 dB steps
Programmable 20 dB loudness control
Programmable loudness control with bass boost or bass and treble boost
Treble control from 14 to 14 dB in 2 dB steps
Bass control from 14 to 14 dB in 2 dB steps with selectable characteristics
Good undistorted performance for any step size, including mute
Audio Step Interpolation (ASI) for mute, loudness, volume/balance, bass, and fader controls
ASI also realizes Alternative Frequency (AF) mute for inaudible RDS update
Integrated beep generator
Navigation (NAV) input
Output mixer circuit for beep or NAV signal at output stages
