TC7660SCPA Overview
There is an optimized performance in this voltage regulator because it utilizes the Tube package. Throughout this voltage regulator, there are 8 terminations. There are two types of analog ICs on this voltage regulator. The first type is a SWITCHED CAPACITOR REGULATOR-type IC. There is a 8-DIP (0.300, 7.62mm) package available for this voltage regulator, as DC DC switching regulator is space-saving. 1 outputs of voltage regulator are configured. ICs such as this voltage regulator are capable of generating Fixed outputs through their output pins. Through Hole-mounting is compatible with this switching regulator. As long as its operating temperature is 0°C~70°C TA, dc to dc voltage regulator should perform well. In this voltage regulator 12v, the switching frequency is 10kHz~45kHz. As shown in the table below, adjusting voltage regulator's output voltage (Min/Fixed) is equal to -Vin 2Vin. Voltage regulator has an input voltage (Max) of 12V. Voltage regulator is designed to provide a nominal input voltage of 5V to meet the operation requirements. The TC7660S is a pin-compatible upgrade to the Indus-try standard TC7660 charge pump voltage converter. It converts a 1.5V to 12V input to a corresponding -1.5V to-12V output using only two low-cost capacitors, eliminating inductors and their associated cost, size and EMI. Added features include an extended supply range to 12V, and a frequency boost pin for higher operating frequency, allowing the use of smaller external capacitors. The on-board oscillator operates at a nominal frequency of 10kHz. Frequency is increased to 45kHz when pin 1 is connected to V . Operation below 10kHz (for lower supply current applications) is possible by connecting an external capacitor from OSC to ground (with pin 1 open). The TC7660S is available in both 8-pin DIP and 8-pin small outline (SOIC) packages in commercial and extended temperature ranges.
