OPA548T Description
The OPA548T device is a low-cost, high-voltage and high-current operational amplifier designed to drive a variety of loads. Laser trimming monolithic integrated circuits provide excellent low-level signal accuracy and high output voltage and current. OPA548 operates through single power supply or dual power supply to achieve design flexibility. When working with a single power supply, the input common mode range is extended to the ground. OPA548 has internal protection from overheating conditions and current overload. In addition, OPA548 is designed to provide accurate, user-selected current limits. Unlike other designs that use power resistors in series with the output current path, OPA548 indirectly detects the load. The current limit can be adjusted from 0 A to 5 A by external resistors and potentiometers, or digitally controlled by voltage output or current output DAC. The enable / status (Ethumb S) pin provides two functions. The input on the pin can not only disable the output stage to effectively disconnect the load, but also reduce the static current to save power. The Ehand S pin output can be monitored to determine if the OPA548 is in a hot off state. OPA548 devices are available in industry-standard 7-lead interlaced and straight-to-- 220 packages, as well as 7-lead DDPAK surface mount plastic power packages. Copper sheet can be easily installed on the heatsink or circuit board to achieve excellent heat dissipation performance. The device can operate in the extended industrial temperature range from-40 °C to 85 °C. SPICE macro model can be used for design analysis. OPA548T Features
