Description
The NIS5135 is a cost-effective, resettable fuse that enhances the reliability of hard drives and other circuits against catastrophic and shutdown failures. It buffers the load device from excessive input voltage that can damage sensitive circuits. The NIS5135 also includes an overvoltage clamp circuit that limits the output voltage during transients without shutting down the unit, allowing the load circuit to continue operation. Two thermal options are available: latching and auto-retry.
