Description
The MIC2040 and MIC2041 are high side MOSFET switches designed for general purpose power distribution applications requiring circuit protection. They operate within a voltage range of 0.8V to 5.5V and feature programmable current limiting and thermal shutdown to safeguard both the device and the load. A fault status output detects overcurrent and thermal shutdown conditions. Soft start circuitry minimizes inrush current in applications with highly capacitive loads. The MIC2040/41 is suitable for multi-port USB applications, meeting upstream/downstream power requirements.
