Description
The MC14511B BCD-to-seven segment latch/decoder/driver is a monolithic structure that combines complementary MOS (CMOS) enhancement mode devices and NPN bipolar output drivers. It functions as a 4-bit storage latch, an 8421 BCD-to-seven segment decoder, and an output drive. The device features lamp test (LT), blanking (BI), and latch enable (LE) inputs for display testing, brightness modulation, and BCD code storage. It can drive seven-segment light-emitting diodes (LEDs), incandescent, fluorescent, gas discharge, or liquid crystal readouts directly or indirectly.
