Description
The MC14511B BCD-to-seven segment latch/decoder/driver is a monolithic CMOS device with NPN bipolar output drivers. It features a 4-bit storage latch, an 8421 BCD-to-seven segment decoder, and output drive capability. The device includes lamp test, blanking, and latch enable inputs for display testing, brightness modulation, and code storage. It can drive seven-segment displays directly or indirectly, including LEDs, incandescent, fluorescent, gas discharge, and liquid crystal readouts.
