Description
The LT3684 is a monolithic buck switching regulator with an adjustable switching frequency of 300kHz to 2.8MHz. It operates with an input voltage range of 3.6V to 34V (36V maximum) and delivers a maximum output current of 2A. The LT3684 features a high-efficiency 0.18Ω switch, an integrated boost Schottky diode, and a power good flag. It utilizes current mode topology for fast transient response and loop stability. The high operating frequency allows for the use of small, low-cost inductors and ceramic capacitors, resulting in low output ripple and a compact solution size. The LT3684 also includes a low current shutdown mode (Iq < 1μA), a soft-start capability, and is available in 10-Pin MSOP and 3mm x 3mm DFN packages with exposed pads for low thermal resistance.
