Overview
Description
The LP3892 is a high-current, fast-response linear regulator that maintains output voltage regulation with minimal input-to-output voltage drop. It operates from two input voltages: Vbias, which drives the N-MOS power transistor, and Vin, which supplies power to the load. The external bias rail allows operation from ultra-low Vin voltages. The CMOS architecture consumes low quiescent current at any output load current. The N-MOS power transistor provides wide bandwidth with minimal external capacitance for loop stability.
