L7912CV Description
L7912CV belongs to the family of three terminal negative regulators designed with fixed output voltages of -5V, -8V, -12V, and -15V, which makes it ideally suitable for a wide range of applications. It provides thermal overload protection, short-circuit protection, and output transition SOA protection. L7912CV is able to eliminate the distribution problems related to single point regulation due to the local on-card regulation it provides. It can also be used to obtain adjustable voltage and current with external components.
