Description
The L78xx series of three-terminal positive voltage regulators is available in various packages and fixed output voltages. These regulators provide local on-card regulation, eliminating distribution issues associated with single-point regulation. They feature internal current limiting, thermal shut-down, and safe area protection, making them highly reliable. With adequate heat sinking, they can deliver over 1 A output current.
