Description

L7805CV Description
The three-terminal positive regulator STM L7805CV is offered in a TO-220 package. Local on-card regulation can be provided by the regulator, reducing the distribution issues associated with single-point regulation. Internal current limiting, thermal shut-down, and safe area protection are all built into each kind, making it virtually unbreakable. It can deliver more than 1A output current if suitable heat sinking is given. Despite being built primarily as fixed voltage regulators, this device can be used in conjunction with external components to produce adjustable voltage and current.
