Description
The KA78XXE/KA78XXAE series of three-terminal positive voltage regulators are available in the TO-220 / D-PAK package with several fixed-output voltages. They employ internal current limiting, thermal shut-down, and safe operating area protection. With adequate heat sinking, they can deliver over 1 A output current. While primarily designed as fixed-voltage regulators, these devices can be used with external components for adjustable voltages and currents.
