Overview
Description
The FDMF8704 is an integrated Driver plus MOSFET power stage solution for high current synchronous buck DC-DC applications. It combines a driver IC and two Power MOSFETs into a compact MLP 8x8, 56-pin package. Fairchild Semiconductor's integrated approach optimizes the complete switching power stage, reducing package parasitics and layout issues associated with discrete solutions. This results in significant board space savings and maximizes footprint power density. The solution is based on the Intel™ DrMOS specification.
