Description
The DS26503 is a building-integrated timing-supply (BITS) clock-recovery element that also functions as a basic TI/El transceiver. It can recover a clock from TI, El, and 6312kHz synchronization timing interfaces. In TI and El modes, it can also recover the Synchronization Status Message (SSM). The transmit portion can directly interface to TI or El interfaces and source the SSM in TI and El modes. The DS26503 can translate between any of the supported inbound synchronization clock rates to any supported outbound rate. It provides a separate output to source a 6312kHz clock. The device is controlled through a parallel, serial, or hardware controller port.
