Description
The CAT5419 is a dual digital potentiometer (POT) with 64 taps and a 2-wire interface. It integrates control logic and 16 bytes of NVRAM memory. Each POT has a separate 6-bit control register (WCR) that independently controls the wiper tap position. Associated with each WCR are four 6-bit non-volatile memory data registers (DR) for storing up to four wiper settings. Writing to the WCR or DRs is done via a 2-wire serial bus (I²C-like). On power-up, the contents of the first DR (DRO) for each POT are automatically loaded into their respective WCRs. The Write Protection (WP) pin prevents inadvertent programming of the DRs.
